Who We Are

Here at RASS (Richmond Addiction Services Society), we hold a philosophy that addiction prevention is more than just stopping use or the behaviour. We believe that prevention is about relationship; our relationship with ourselves, each other, and our environment. We view prevention from a holistic sense. It is an interplay between our physical, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental life areas. Our programs and services aim to support individuals and communities to achieve optimal health in all of our life areas, as well as making positive decisions when considering our relationship to oneself, others, and the world around us.

Three Core Pillars

At RASS, we are committed to integrating these three practices in all of our community programming:

Engage and involve the community in dialogue around health and wellness, and collaborate to create effective and impactful programming for the people of Richmond.

Offer steadfast and accessible support to members of the community, working alongside them while respecting their autonomy and helping them reach their goals.

Provide workshops and evidence-based resources to help inform our community about holistic wellness and lower the stigma around addictions and mental illness.
