RASS COVID – 19 Safety Plan Returning to Safe Operation

Implemented on Friday, April 1, 2022.

 

In Office Guidelines

  • Staff are required to have a mask on in all common areas (i.e., bathroom, hallways, etc.). Personal office areas are an exception.
  • Staff must continue to practice good hand hygiene/sneeze etiquette and are required to wipe down common area spaces before and after use (i.e., bathroom and kitchen surfaces and door knobs).

 

Visitors (In Office)

  • In office sessions, staff and visitors will be required to wear mask.
  • In the event that a visitor requests a mask, one will be provided.
  • The group room will be an option for counselling room; sessions must be booked at least 30 minutes apart, allowing staff to clean up after session(s).
  • Alternatively, staff could use their personal office to meet with the visitor(s).
  • Both staff and visitors are required to sanitize/wash their hands before and after an encounter.

 

Client Sessions (Outreach)

  • Each staff will be provided with, or are responsible for, carrying a hand sanitizer during all outreach visits. Wash or sanitize your hands before and after every client encounter.
  • When in contact with clients, staff will be required to wear mask.
  • Should a client be ill, their appointment will be cancelled and re-scheduled. They are encouraged to see their primary care provider for follow up.

RASS Guidelines for Offsite and Outdoor Events

Indoor (e.g. CATS)

  • Pre-registration for all RASS program events is required. This helps control number of participants
  • 5 participants will be permitted to attend group at a time; this includes staff facilitating.
  • Staff are responsible for informing administrative staff/booking the group room ahead of time.
  • All visitors are required to wear masks AT ALL TIME. Staff will have extra supply at disposal for those without a mask.
  • Visitors will be asked to stay home should they be ill.
  • Staff and visitors are required to wash or sanitize your hands before and after every group.
  • Staff are encouraged to turn the air purifier on before the group.
  • Staff are responsible to check that disposable tissues and no-touch waste receptacles are available in waiting area prior to group beginning.
  • Staff are responsible for wiping down surfaces and shared items post-group.

 

Outdoor

  • Pre-registration for all events is required. This helps control number of participants
  • Staff and participants are encouraged to wear masks, but not required, for the duration of the group.
  • Staff will have extra supply at disposal for those who need a mask.
  • Staff are responsible for bringing and providing participants with alcohol-based hand sanitizer, which they will be required to use prior to and after group.
  • Staff are responsible for wiping down any surfaces and shared items post-group.

 

Offsite Events (e.g. School’s Out, Turning Point)

  • Staff will be required to wear a mask AT ALL TIMES; participants will be required to wear a mask only if the hosting facility requires same.
  • Staff is responsible for bringing and providing participants with alcohol-based hand sanitizer, which they will be required to use prior to and after group (if not provided by host facility).
